Free Tengwar Font Project: Links
- The Mellonath Daeron Index of Tengwa Specimina (DTS)
- A comprehensive list of J. R. R. Tolkien’s published tengwar samples by the Mellonath Daeron, the language guild of the Tolkien society Forodrim. This is an invaluable resource for any tengwar research.
- Amanye Tenceli. The Writing Systems of Aman
- Måns Björkman’s excellent site on J. R. R. Tolkien’s scripts. Lots of most reliable and up-to-date information.
- J. R. R. Tolkien’s Full Tengwar Modes for Modern English. An Analysis (PDF)
- Ronald Kyrmse’s thorough description is slightly outdated, since it does not contain DTS 71. Nevertheless, there seems to be no better description of Tolkien’s English full writing modes (which is surprising since these modes comprise most of Tolkien’s published tengwar samples). Don’t miss the overview table: FTMME.pdf.
- Tengwar encoding and design
- Johan Winge’s blog about various aspects of tengwar fonts.
